Project Title Downstream hydraulic geometry of the Chena drainage basin, Alaska
Project Abstract The project involves field work in the Chena drainage basin, just north of Fairbanks, Alaska. We conducted a first field season of work there during summer 2000. This second season will focus on additional data collection; specifically, surveys of channel geometry and measurements of flow velocity for use in downstream hydraulid geometry relations and channel-network modeling. The REU student would be conducting field work with Susan in Alaska for 2-3 weeks during mid-June to early July.
